    v 5.0.2 not clearing text fields

    I am running version 5.0.2 to test a web application. Recently, I have installed Silk Test on a new box and discovered that the new installation doesn't clear text boxes when using the SetText method. It appends the new information to the default. The previous installation did not do this. The only thing I can find different is the new box has a slightly newer version of IE5. Anyone have any thoughts as a possible solution. I now the ClearText method works, but I shouldn't have to use this.

    Also, I seem to recall a new dll file that improved Silk Test's performance. Does anyone know anything about this or where I might find the file? Am I thinking of Silk Performer maybe?

    Thanks.

    Re: v 5.0.2 not clearing text fields

    I have the same problem and segue had given this workaround - using derived methods:

    [-] winclass HtmlTextField:HtmlTextField
    [-] explorer5 SetText(STRING sText)
    [ ] DoubleClick()
    [ ] TypeKeys("<Backspace>")
    [ ] derived::SetText(sText)
    [-] explorer5 ClearText()
    [ ] this.DoubleClick()
    [ ] this.TypeKeys("<Backspace>")
    [ ] derived::ClearText()

    Not sure why the spaces do not show up correctly. e-mail me if you have problems figuring this out.

    Re: v 5.0.2 not clearing text fields

    What I did was simple:
    wObject.Textfield1.SetPosition(1,1)
    wObject.Textfield1.TypeKeys("<Shift-End><Delete>")

    That's all to it.

    Somehow, the keys doesn't show up correctly after posted.
    Here is explaination:
    - Get pointer to (1,1)
    - press Shift and End keys
    - Then, press Delete key.
