Anyway to switch users in windows?
Is there anyway to log one person off and log on another? Even if it means calling a different script/language. Since this would be potential security hole, I'm doubting it. Any ideas out there?
Re: Anyway to switch users in windows?
I read about a "hack" on the web that does this (so to speak)
It doesn't really log a user off, but rather switches users on a cool!
what you have to do is this:
1) log in a user1
2) start cmd.exe
3) execute a command "taskkill /f /im explorer.exe" (no quotes). This command terminates windows explorer
4) execute a command "runas /user:<username> explorer.exe" (no qoutes). This command launches windows explorer as a different user.
NOTE: after step 4 completes, you will be prompted for a password in a command prompt!!!
Hope this helps.
