    Retrieving Computer Time Zone

    Hi all,

Would anyone know of how to retrieve the time zone from the local computer without having to go into the time settings dialog in windows?

I'm trying to make sure our tests take into account the difference between the server time and the local time on the machine. So far from what I have been able to find is that we can only retrieve the date and time, but not the time zone.

    Anyone can help?

You might want to use SYS_GetRegistryValue() instead.
Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.

    Use the registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\TimeZoneInformation\

you can get it's value using

    SYS_SetRegistryValue ()
