Column Names for a JFC JTable

    hi,

does anyone have a method to get all the column names (in one shot) from a JFC Table? we are using getColumnName() silktest method but it is painfully slow as it has to get each column name individually.

I looked at the JTable java class but there is no method that returns all the column names. Although, TableColumnModel java class has a getColumns() method that returns an enumeration of the column names.

Sadly Silktest does not support this method!

    any ideas?

    thanks,
    Jonathan

Does the table support getColumnNames() also? There is support in SilkTest to check this (CaptureClass.inc). The returned Vector object can have toString called upon and the result parsed. I assume that you are familiar with SilkTest's invokeMethods method for Java objects.
