I am facing a problem while testing an Ecom site. The page displayed has Tables as I can see it in the source code. But when I try to record the window declaration, the table doesn't get recognized. Instead every item is listed just below the BrowserChild window.
I need to recognize the table.
Even I tried with BorderLessTable value 0.5 & 1.
Are there tags <table>...</table>? If there is no such tags Table doesn't exists. As some workaround you may try to set Use virtual column checkmark in Options > Extensions > (Your browser) > Extension
Try other borderless table settings apart from .5 and 1. I needed to use .76 and .78 for some pages to pick up our tables. You can then pass these settings into your test script programatically when required.
Thanks Kanon & Tomas.
Kanon, its showing <table>..</table> tags. So I mentioned earlier in the problem that I can see it in the code. I tried with virtual column too. But no result.
Tomas, I used different values with as well as without virtual column, but still it doesn't recognize the table.
Amol H do you have administrative rights on the server? Reason I am asking is that HtmlTable recognition is different depending on the permissions of the user running the script.
The problem here is that if the user that is running the tests does not have Administrative privileges, then the table settings contained within the Domex.ini file are not loaded correctly and Borderless Table recognition is switched off.
This is information given by SilkTest so might be worth something...
I am not very clear about which server you are talking. I am having Admin previleges in my local network as well as the site I am testing.
I can change the settings in Domex.ini as well as from Options -> Extensions for Borderless table.
