Recording huge test frames
I am trying to record a test frame for a web page that contains tables with aroun 500 HtmlText elements. I get the error
*** Error: Agent not responding
and the agent keeps running. Closing the agent result in IE crashing.
I assume for some reason the load put on the Agent is too great. Does someone have a workaround for this issue ? I don't really mind if it takes a minute or two to record the test frame.
Re: Recording huge test frames
Why record the window at all? You can dynamically instantiate all of the objects very easily. Many web sites have multiple pages with the same caption, so SilkTest often incorrectly records objects during recording.
const BP = BrowserPage
const BPT1 = BP.HtmlTable ("#1")
BPT1.HtmlColumn ("#2").GetContents ()
// TO GET IMAGES AND LINKS
for i = 1 to BPT1.GetRowCount ()
BPT1.HtmlColumn ("#2").GetRowText (i)
// TO GET TEXT
