Dear Valued Customer:

SilkTest supports a broad range of operating systems and development and delivery environments. In an effort to bring you the highest quality and best supported products and services, Segue is discontinuing support for technologies no longer supported by their respective vendors. Effective with SilkTest 8.0, currently anticipated to be generally available soon, Segue is phasing out support for the following technologies:

Windows 95
Windows NT4
Windows 2000 Service Packs 1, 2, 3
Internet Explorer: 4 (SP2), 5.01, 5.5, 6 SP 0 (a.k.a. Gold), 6 SP 1 on Windows XP (no Service Pack)
Netscape: 4.x, 6.x
PowerBuilder: 6.5, 7, 8
J2SE: 1.1, 1.2.2, 1.3.0, 1.4.0, 1.4.1
AOL: 7, 8, 8 Plus
SilkTest VO extension
For these technologies, SilkTest will go through a maintenance phase before discontinuation of support. This maintenance phase will last one year from the release of SilkTest 8.0:

SilkTest 8.0 will no longer support any attempts to operate in and/or test these environments.
Per the Segue Software Maintenance and Support Agreement, Segue is not obligated to provide maintenance to any versions or releases which support technologies no longer supported by their vendor. However, during the maintenance phase, technical support for the technologies listed above will be provided against SilkTest 7.6.1.
No future versions of any SilkTest and SilkTest International product released after the date of this notice will support the technologies listed above.
Since SilkTest 8.0 will not support these technologies, we have provided, on Segue's Technical Support site, specific details discussing the changes you may need to make in order use SilkTest 8.0 with existing automation that makes references to these technologies.

We believe these changes will provide you and your organization with the best long-term solution for deploying the highest quality software to your customers and suppliers. Should you have any questions, please contact your local Segue sales representative
