In the application which I am testing, on most occassions the first step is to search for a customer using a unique account number.
Now I have scripted Silktest to do this
[ ] //Search For Acoount Using Account Number
[ ] Framework.SetActive ()
[ ] Framework.Search.Click ()
[ ]Framework.SearchForServicebyAccessNo.SearchForAcco unt.Click ()
[ ] Framework.SearchForAccount.AccountNo.SetText ("40001220")
[ ] Framework.TypeKeys ("<#Enter>")
Now this works fine....
What I want to do is now save this script somewhere and then in my other scripts call it at the begining.
How would I do that?
Where would i save the script?
How would I call it in other scripts?
Any help appreciated.
Can't call a script from a script. Make the script into a function, then you can call it from a script.
Place the function in an include file.
Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.
Yep, either a stand-alone function, or possibly a method (called something like SearchForCustomer) of your 'Framework' window used in your example. Then all your scripts would call:
Then the account number becomes a variable to replace the hard-coded one you have above.
Thanks guys will give this a try.
