    SilkTest 5.0 Problems

Has anyone experienced any of the following SilkTest 5.0 problems:

    1. Under Win95, when you enable the IE4.0 Browser Extension through the Exension Enabler feature, IE Script errors occur when you launch your browser application: "Access is Denied". Once, you disable the IE4.0 extension through the Extension Enabler, the errors no longer appear when the URL is accessed.

    2. While using the Record Window Tag feature against a Netscape Browser on Win95, when you move the mouse over a [BrowserChild] class window, garbage characters are returned for Control ID's. In other words, in the recorder window itself, the correct label, index number and caption are returned, but garbage appears for the control ID's. Tried both Netscape Comm. 4.07 and 4.50. on the www.yahoo.com page also, same problem.

    3. When Fault Trapping is turned on for the Netscape Browser Extension, window declarations for Netscape Preference windows no longer work. SilkTest starts returning different window tags for these windows.

    4. Turning on support for JavaScript and JavaPlugin cause SilkTest to not recognize JavaApplet controls in the Netscape Browser. Win95 and NC4.50.

    5. SilkTest 5.0 intermittantly crashes the Netscape Comm. 4.50 browser is modules: PR3240.DLL, MSVCRT.DLL, JRT3240.DLL.

    Number 4:
I am having the same problems with Silk 5.0 not recognizing JavaApplet in Netscape 4.51. In my case, it does not matter if I have the supor for JavaScript and JavaPlugin turned on or off, it doesn't recognize anything related to java.

If you find out anything, please let me know....

Yes, but in a slightly diffrent way. We have actually traced the problem down to GDI32.DLL (Silk replaces the windows one when it installs in order to get hooks into the GUI). Segue has been made away of the problem and have a bug logged agaist it.

Yep, get that too. Plus every time you move the mouse, Silk moves the screen all around. Tough to find out what an ID of an object is!

Haven't tried the other three so I can't answer them.
