I want to implement following requirment, let me know if anybody know.
I have silk installed on one machine(A). I have another machine(B) having one application. I have recorded script for that application and put it on SILK on machine A. Once after recording script I have removed SILK form machine B. In short machine B can be any machine having that application installed.
Now I want to run the script from machine A. which can install the agent on machine B and the run the script on machine B for that application.
Is this possible to run the script avilable on one machine which can be run on the another machine which doesnt have SILK installed.
In silk test, I am not sure...but there are programs which are remotely installed...As for example, any update for antivirus is automatically installed to client machines if settings are made on server...You can trigger such kind of things from silk...
I think that is the different case where we have antivirus installed and it is fetching update from site. But in this case I have IP address of the machine at run time and I want to install agent before starting script.
You could automate the install of the agent yourself with vbscript or a little helper program. Norton Ghost Corporate may also be able to add silktest to a machine just after imaging it, but I am not sure about that.
Do I need a public webserver to do that? I've never added to the Downloads because I don't know how to do it. I don't have a public webserver to use, though, unfortunately. When I looked at the Add tab in the Segue downloads section that seemed to be how it works. Any suggestions anyone?
