Honestly, though, if you have no C++ experience at all, you will probably need to have a someone help you out with this. That person will need several hours (at least) to get up to speed enough to get anything going.
Ok, I am not sure how we resolve that issue, but from your experience if app is C++ designed, how people out there deal with C++ extension kit without knowledge of C++.What we can do here to make things work?
Have you done C++ Extension yourself,if so can you share some ideas,or maybe lead me to the direction to automate without extension kit.
I've looked into the extension kit because we were considering buying it, but we did not so I don't really have any detailed experience. I can tell you this, though: the extension kit is designed for you or your developers to use to modify your product itself (the thing you are testing) to have SilkTest hooks inside it for communicating information back and forth without scraping a GUI. Thus, your developers would almost definitely have to be involved because you need to modify their code, essentially.
I am afraid that I know nothing about CGWXGrids, but that does sound like the kind of thing that the EK is good for. If the your company doesn't have the grid source code, though, you might be out of luck. Try interacting with grid using only your keyboard. Is it possible?
