    Re: Command line

Open the window and record it's declaration like you would any other window. But the options for interacting with it will be limited since Silk won't recognize the text field that you type into.

You might be better off just executing commands directly from SilkTest using something like 'SYS_Execute()'.

    Re: Command line

You could create a "screen scraper" type declaration that will read the DOS box into a the clipboard, you can parse it apart, you can...well...never mind.

Brian's right: use SYS_Execute to send commands and capture the results into the second argument and parse the LIST OF STRING for what you're looking for.

    Re: Command line

    Hi I am Hemangi.
Even I have similar kind of problem.
I need to invoke tomcat server using the command line (cmd.exe)

    I am using windows XP.

Also Do I need to set runtime oprion?

[ ] LIST OF STRING lsDirOut
    [ ] SYS_Execute("C:\ABC\EFG\testappln.exe", sDirOut)
    [ ] print (lsDirOut)

    It gives me the result

[ ] {Error occurred during initialization of VM
[ ] Could not reserve enough space for object heap
[ ] Could not create the Java virtual machine.
    [ ] }

Can you please give the solution
