    SilkTest coordinates-driven?

I am pretty much new to using SilkTest and I am learning my way through it. Anyway, I have noticed that SilkTest is coordinates driven. What I meant by this is that there are some methods wherein you have to include the coordinates
    e.g.
    Window.Click(2, 24, 55, "Open")

Is there a way around this? I want to parameterize my scripts than depending on this hard-coded coordinates. Your input is greatly appreciated.

No SilkTest resorts to coordinates only as a backup, and it does not rely on them. To do this right, you need to record your frame (with all the windows declared and methods written for these windows), then start recording the scripts.

I hope to publish a better guide on doing all these things in the new coming site http://qatraining.net Although this idea has some ways to go.

    Re: SilkTest coordinates-driven?

Just a little tip for newbies ... Whether you're using the User Guide, a Reference Guide, or Library Browser (my personal favorite!), be careful to note "optional" parameters - the ones inside square brackets. That's what the coordinates are in the .Click example you provided - they are optional. I honestly don't think there's a single coordinate reference in any of the hundreds (?) of testcases I've written for my current project.
