Agent Option:Automatically Scroll Windows into View causing problem...
Currently I am working on a web application developed in Java technologies. Controls (like buttons, listboxes, check boxes, radio buttons) in some screens can be viewed without scrolling up and in few screens controls can be viewed only when the page is scrolled up once or twice.
If the Agent Options 'Scroll Windows into View' under 'Other' tab is set to TRUE (check box is checked), during execution, when a control is viewable only when the screen is scrolled up, the silk is scrolling the screen to the left and top most position bringing control into view before any action is performed like click or select. This is appearing weird during execution. If the agent option is set to false (uncheck the check box in agent options), scripts with the controls not viewable without scrolling are failing with a message control not found.
If anyone has encountered similar situation and has solution to this weird issue, please post the solution. Thanks in advance.
Re: Agent Option:Automatically Scroll Windows into View causing problem...
You can set it to false and call ScrollIntoView() yourself on each control that needs it. This is what I do since sometimes the built-in scrollintoview doesn't work for me: often times I need to scroll even further down than silktest will to avoid having the control be blocked by the 'automatic updates' or 'clean up you desktop' or some other bubble from the systray. This can be accomplished by scrolling something that is further down than necessary into view before clicking, etc.
