Cannot Trap the Location of the Push Button.

    Hi,

I have created a samll simple scripts which logins into the site.

I recorded user entering the Login Id and the Password and click on GO button.

I is recorded when when i re- run the scripts that i have recorded a moment back it enter the login id in the Textfield and the same for password BUT instead on the cliking on the GO button is clicks just below the GO button and hence my test case fails evertime and i m not able to log on in to the site.

Is it a location error !!!!

What do i do...Its a Blocker for me.

    Please Help.

Re: Cannot Trap the Location of the Push Button.

    Kishore

It worked but i have 75 scripts which were earlier working with Click.

Now since some UI changes took place click stopped working and DoClick started working as suggested by u.

My concern then i have change in my every script.

Can you state me a reason as what went wrong.

    Thanks
    Rajat

    difference between click and DoClick

Click all ways returns location of x and y coordinates return 0

    But
DoClick it will takes dynamically x and y co-ordinates on the page

if any page difficult to click on Button at this pages you can use DOClick method

further warning....DoClick doesn't use the mouse or keyboard to click anything. It simply makes a background call to fire an event. DoClick doesn't require the object to be visible to 'click' on it for instance. It doesn't even require that the object that you're clicking on can be made visible. That's taking some risk.
