My application is like that it opens a IE with Excel sheet embedded in it. I need to save that page on the harddisk somewhere, so as i do File>SaveAs on the IE; it open a Dialog box in which i can give the name of the file and then can hit the save button to save the file. I tried recording the Window Declaration of that DialogBox it just given me the DialogBox name and some Custom win which i don't know from where it came, so it doesn't recognize any button on that Dialog box, even i tried recording the testcase but Silk didn't even recorded the steps for saving the file. I don't know how to do it. Please help.
I am using IE 6.0 and SilkTest 7.1.
Here is the screen shot of the dialog box and the code i got as i did the Window declaration. 1118425311.doc
Not that I know of. The only performance tricks that I know of with SilkTest are for faster screen scraping and not faster data entry... that would simply be using GetChildren and sifting through the return data yourself (for faster scraping).
