Incorrect HTMLRadioList selection
I am testing a web application developed using Java. I am having problems with an HTMLRadioList object that is pretty long, dynamically constructed and half the list is out of view.
SilkTest is unable to select any item that is out of view. I have tried the following agent settings -
I have even tried doing mywindow.radioist.ScrollIntoView() function. It JUST would not select any item other than the ones on the screen. Is there a function by which I can manually scroll the browser's scrollbar to expose the items?
Also, is there any way I can add a ScrollBar object to the radiolist itself so that I can use the ScrollbyLine() function etc??
Re: Incorrect HTMLRadioList selection
You may need to write your own custom method to handle this situation. It sounds like you have a radiolist that contains more data than can be displayed but it does not have a scrollbar on it.
To handle this I would write something that clicks on the first item in the radio list, copies the contents to the clipboard, and then checks to see if it is what you want to select.
If this is not the correct item then you would arrow down to the next item and repeat the previous steps until you find what you are looking for.
Let us know what your solution is.
