I'm reading a file and when I find what I'm looking for, I need to back up a few lines and read the new lines. I know how to set the pointer but how do I find my pointer position value (or the pointer value of the line I'm on). Thanks, Larry
Dont know if there is a readymade function for this, Guess not.
You can use your own pointer and increment it for every line.
I believe if you call iPos = FileSetPointer(hFile,0,FP_RELATIVE) it should return the current position since you wont be moving the pointer any.
Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.
