What is the most efficient way to handle Security Alert windows? I want my data driven script to be able to react to them with an action <click>, and also be able to flow correctly with out them. I have tried using the Exist method (with no luck).
My Data Driven script has at least 3 different combinations that need to happen during its execution and the security alert happens only the first time through. The work around is to actually close the browser after each pass - this is not a good work around. Any help is appreciated
Thanks everyone for your help! I have a call into Segue and they are looking into it with my script - this is a simple thing and it is frustrating - QTP has a nice built in GUI Exception Handler that works nicely - wish Silk Test had it! Thanks again.
if you look in <SILKTEST_HOME>\Extend\Browser.inc, and search for Security, you'll find that there is some built-in support for this.
I've found that I had to tweak it to handle my application's security certificates, but it works quite nicely. (I seem to recall that my adjustment was to add a click of the wAcceptButton for a securityInfo window, and to be sure that the securityInfo window declaration could identify the security dialog I saw coming up.).
