Would like to know whether Silk (Version 6.0) can import a dll written in .NET and call their functions exposed, similar to how we import dll's written in C++.
Please note: am not asking about Silk Test recognizing .NET controls.
if dll is written by c#, SilkTest can't use it since it is a "managed" code.
Actually you can write unmanaged functions in .Net. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...nagedfuncs.asp
for more info
Did you try doing Record/Class and pointing your mouse to the .Net control? If you do so Silk will generate methods available for that control. The only problem is if there are methods that use non Silk data types you cannot access those methods.
that's why dll can be used to acccess those methods
Any anyone found more information about this? I need to access functions from a c# dll and its not working due to this managed vs. unmanaged code.
About a month ago I asked segue:
Is it possible to call/run methods on .NET assemblies via SilkTest?
Unfortunately it is not possible to call methods using .Net assemblies (dll's)
