Iīm a new user of silktest (have been using it for 2 days) and have now a question about checkpoints. before, I have used QTP for several days and with that tool it was quite easy to insert checkpoints (just right-click on a step and then insert a checkpoint, e.g. a text checkpoint). how does that work with silktest? I want to check a text string that I typed in.
I found some functions like ValueVerify, ValueCaption etc., but they didnīt work. is there another possibility to check text strings?
The object, where I want to check the text string, is from the Class 'CustomWin'. And there ist no function like 'VerifyValue()' defined for my window object. I tried to assign the CustomWin object (Custom Class: QWidget) to a standard class (I couldnīt choose AnyWin Class) but the problem is that almost all objects in my application belong to the CustomWin Class. So if I assigned this object to TextField Class all the other objects of CustomWin Class changed to TextField, too. How can you assign just one special object from CustomWin to a certain Standard Class?
Itīs developed in C++. So do I need any extensions? I know thatīs maybe a stupid question but Iīm just a new user.
Now I changed the class manually to TextField and it worked. Then, I wanted to check the string, I typed in (e.g. "1"), with VerifyValue() and that didnīt work:
*** Error: Verify text failed - got "m_eName", expected "1"
In the frame you can see that about this TextField:
[-] TextField M_eName
[-] multitag "[QWidget]m_eName"
[ ] "[QWidget]$0"
So has it something to do with the multitag?
How can I solve the problem?
Although these are probably quite stupid questions, please help me! Thanks a lot!
