I am having problems trying to test a .NET application that uses a 3rd party toolkit for its menu toolbar. In short, I cannot see the menu or menu items.
I have found that I can access the menu items for the 1st menu (File) with a comand like:
However, I cannot get this to work for the other menus, e.g. Edit, View.
I can display the other menus by using keyboard shortcuts but the menu items cannot be accessed as children of the toolbar.
Is there anyway to make PopupStart work on the other menus? What is its parameter; the only examples I have seen have an empty string?
There is no information in the SilkTest help.
Try Record Actions and see what it records for the Edit and other menus.
Are you using the .net extension?
Thanks and Regards,
Thanks for your comments.
Yes, I am using the .NET extensions.
I was trying not to use positional co-ordinates as we use test machines with different screen resolutions. However, I might be able to live with just using the co-ordinates of the menus.
