    BindAgentOption required a STRING

    Hi all

    I have a little problem with the undocummented function BindAgentOption.
    I'm using QA Partner 4.5.1 under Windows 95.
    Here the request I sent to Segue.
    Could somebody help me?

    Yves-Alain

    I found the following problem with the undocummented QAP function BindAgentOption. An error occured in the Close method. Here the result:

    [ ] Script bug_bindagentoption.t - 1 error
    [ ] Machine: (local)
    [ ] Started: 12:47:00PM on 04-Feb-1999
    [ ] Elapsed: 0:00:01
    [ ] Passed: 0 tests (0%)
    [ ] Failed: 1 test (100%)
    [ ] Totals: 1 test, 1 error, 0 warnings
    [ ]
    [-] Testcase Bug_BindAgentOption - 1 error
    [ ] *** Error: Type mismatch -- OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS should be a STRING
    [ ] Occurred in TextEditor.Close
    [ ] Called from Bug_BindAgentOption at bug_bindagentoption.t(2)

    This function required a STRING for OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS, but Agent.SetOption required a LIST OF STRING.
    Here the constante I defined in the frame:

    [ ] const lsCloseConfirmButtons = {''No'', ''Nein'', ''Non''}

    I tried following:

    [-] testcase Bug_BindAgentOption() appstate none
    [ ] LIST OF STRING lsOptions = Agent.GetOption(OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS)
    [ ] Print(lsOptions)
    [-] withoptions
    [-] do
    [ ] BindAgentOption(OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS, lsOptions)
    [-] except
    [ ] ExceptPrint()
    [ ] Agent.SetOption(OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS, lsOptions)
    [ ]

    and the result was:

    [ ] Script bug_bindagentoption.t - Passed
    [ ] Machine: (local)
    [ ] Started: 01:02:55PM on 04-Feb-1999
    [ ] Elapsed: 0:00:00
    [ ] Passed: 1 test (100%)
    [ ] Failed: 0 tests (0%)
    [ ] Totals: 1 test, 0 errors, 0 warnings
    [ ]
    [-] Testcase Bug_BindAgentOption - Passed
    [ ] Agent.GetOption (OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS)
    [ ] {NO}
    [ ] *** Error: Type mismatch -- OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS should be a STRING
    [ ] Occurred in BindAgentOption
    [ ] Called from Bug_BindAgentOption at bug_bindagentoption.t(6)
    [ ] Agent.SetOption (OPT_CLOSE_CONFIRM_BUTTONS, {''NO''})

    Yves-Alain,

    I looked into the problem and could not find anything wrong with your
    testcase. I'll appreciate if you share answers you receive with me!
    Bests,
