Too many hours spent on this one!!! Has anyone seen this before in a circumstance where the obvious isn't so obvious when it comes to resolving it??? All of our variables are Strings and our spreadsheet columns have "text" attributes. I have attached the excel spreadsheet we are using and have pasted the script into a txt file - up to the point at which it breaks... Any help you can give me will be SUPER appreciated as my mind weeps at the block...
Thanks a bunch!
*** Error: (22018) [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] Data type mismatch in criteria expression. Occured in DB_ExecuteSql
You're thinking a data mismatch in the returned data, but your code fails to reach the FetchNext call. It's complaining about the SQL statement itself. Since you print out the SQL statement in the log, what happens if you paste it directly into the Query Analyzer? Oh wait, that's SQL Server. Do you have any kind of app that can query the database directly? There used to be a test app that maybe came with Visual Studio that could let you run queries against any database.
In any case, it sounds like it's choking on the SQL statement, so if you could include the printout of that statement from your log, the error might stand out...then again might not <g>.
