Hi,New to SILKTest (have ver 5.0.3)and this site so please bear with me.Inherited a TestPlan and TestCase and trying to get it to run.First run resulted in dozens of "VARIABLE Not Defined" and "FUNCTION Not defined" errors. I've looked through all the .pln and .t files and find no declarations. Is there another type of file where these declarations are done? If so, how does SILKTest know where to find them? OR Is my testcase simply wrong and should have all the declarations. Any insight appreciated. Thanks.
check .inc files for declarations, functions and global var's. You should have a frame.inc file that lists all the .inc files that are compiled by default. Now, the frame.inc file can be named something else. It's up to the user what to name it. Then in Runtime\options, you would specify the path to your .inc files in the Use Path textbox and specify the frame file in the Use Files textbox.
Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.
When you get the compile time errors, you also get from where these errors are originating.
Use this to see which variables or functions used in the script haven't been defined.
Hope this helps.
