I am using ResOpenList and ResCloseList to better organize my results file. The problem is that if a failure occurs in one of the nested lists, the parent list does not turn red, so I have to search through all the lists by opening each one to find where the error is. Here is how I have is set up:
ResOpenList( "section2" )
ResCloseList()</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Let's say testcase4 fails... I will get a results file that looks like this:
1 out of 5 tests failed
however section 2 is not red so I don't know that the error occured in that section.
Is there a way to may the parent list description turn red when there is an error?
I don't think there is a way to accomplish this but I don't understand why you have to search through each list to find the error. If you click on the 'Red E' (find the next error) toolbutton, it will scroll right to the error.
Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.
I like the F4 hint! I just think it would be cleaner if the parent + signs turned red as well, this way when I look at the results in the morning I can tell right away where something went wrong without even opening up the file... It does work when using a testplan, however I don't(bad little silktest user!)
