What is the best way to modify the date/time and, especially, the time zone on the local and/or a remote machine?
You can do this by declaring the Date/Time Properties dialog on your browser, then use the SilkTest remote agent connection to run the Date/Time settings on that machine. Should look something like this.
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">[+] main()
[ ] STRING sMachine = 'target agent machine'
[ ] SetupMachine(sMachine, sAppstate)
[ ] SetMachine (sMachine)//where you'll run
[ ] SetDateTime() //call testcase
[+] testcase SetDateTime()
[ ] DateTimeProperties.TabPage.Select("Time Zone"
[ ] DateTimeProperties.xDateTime.TimeZones.Select( 'time zone you want')
[ ] DateTimeProperties.Apply.Click()
[ ] DateTimeProperties.OK.Click()</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">
How do you invoke the DateTimeProperties dialog?
You can use App_Start("Control date/time") to invoke the dialog. App_Start() is found in bwcompat.inc.
You can use SYS_Execute to change the date/time. For example:
SYS_Execute("Date 12/31/2004") or

Awesome. Great news. I spent quite a while trying to find a way to launch that dialog. Thank you Tony and Sean for your kind replies.
