Can anyone help.
I’m trying to install the ResultsRepository.exe that creates an ODBC and a SilkTestRepository database to aid result logging. Problem is, during install the following error message occurs
‘Setup could not create the user account in the SilkTest repository database. The database is not accessible’
Has anyone else encountered this error and if so how did you get round the problem. Also ‘occasionally’ I get the screen ‘Enter Database Name and Password’ Any Idea what were supposed to put in here? So far I take this as being ‘SilkTestRepository’ with pwd ‘SilkTestRepository’.
I tried out the repository once, but didn't stick with it, because I needed something more custom.
Anyways, I remember needing to read every detail in the Help, plus perhaps contact support to get it going.
Make sure you've installed the database and added a 'correctly configured ODBC connector' yourself and then try again to get the repository include files, etc. going. I can't remember what you'll need to do for the web server, but I think it is in the Help. SilkTest provides cgi scripts you will use. Those files might need tweaking to know where the db is, etc.
Expect this to take all day, maybe longer to get working.
Sorry for the bad news.
