Re: Extension Kit / DLL Ideas on how to start using
Hi Tim - there is a very good tutorial that ships with the EK. It will help you understand the approach to take when creating extensions to custom objects. If you are on an active maintenace contract with Segue you can also call our technical support center with any questions you have. But check out the tutorial first, it will give you some good info.
Extension Kit / DLL Ideas on how to start using
I have been doing some searches about Extension Kit / calling DLL function but I am still confused some.
The person who was doing Silk here before me Implemented the extension Kit for Stingray Object Grid and menu bar (toolbar).
It seems now we are coming across some more places where we might be able to use the extension kit, but searching through the forum seems to only explain it's use on the grid.
Currently we have a window which looks like a page list but is not working as one. I have try class mapping and other stuff. I have gotten it to work using click locations to click Tab but is this something you could use the Extension Kit/or DLL calls to get the object to be handled better.
1 -Basically I have a few question.
Are there limitations on what API (grid, page list, menu's) you can test with the Extension Kit.
2 -How to get started. This is where I am stuck. Say I want to use the Extension Kit on the Page list. I will talk to the developers to see what functions are available / what I can use.
3 -I understand the extend keyword part, but am confused on what files I need to update to get / what functions I need to create to get Silk and the Application to talk.
Any help would be great to get me started..
