testing html controls added at runtime
Re: testing html controls added at runtime
Silk can only capture what happens to exist at the time of the record/declaration.
Your product's specifications should describe what objects will be added and when they will be added to these pages. By entering these objects manually to each html page declaration, they will be available to your test cases when you need them. (With some minor reformatting of their output, both Record/Tags and Record/Identifiers can be used to capture individual object declarations.)
Silk tests can also be coded to detect objects dynamically - usually with the use of a GetChildren() call. This approach presumes however, that you have already categorized these into suitably labeled instances in the declaration file.
