I have a application that has changed the name of most of the objects in the include file. How can I get silktest to see the change without going though the script and coping and pasting every single line of code for the objects?
Do you mean that the names that object are declared as have changed? I can think of two things.
1) change the object names in all of your scripts. If you know what they are you could do a simple Find & Replace. Or you could write a script that opens the file and search for the old object names and replaces them with the new object names.
2) create aliases. For every object in the frame you could declare a WINDOW with the old name and set it to the new object. eg...
WINDOW oldDialogName = newDialogName
I would do it the first way, since the second way is just as much work but doesn't directly fix the problem.
Unless I misunderstood the problem... I hope this helps.
