I want some more info.
1. Whether silktest couldn't identify HtmlPopuplist or it couldn't identify a item in a HtmlPopupList?
2. Which extension are you using..? If you are using VO extension, you can try in DOM extension. DOM is latest technology implemented in SilkTest.
Thanks for reply .
i am using DOM extension only.
1.I declared the htmlpopuplist in the framefile.i recorded the declaration.i named the identifier as "typeid" and the tag is "$buttontypeId"(window tag).
2.When i am running the script every object is identifying except this poplist.i would like to select the record the from that "type"(HtmlPopupList) but the control is not moving to Popuplist at runtime.
3.silk is identifying when i use the TypeKeys () function.if i use types my script become hardcoded.
4.in my poplist i have nearly 40to50 records.i have to select everytype to check my application.
5.i am using excelsheet where i placed all the records(popuplist type) and i am putting into the select function.(the samecommand in the above post).
6.can u please help me out from this problem
Also can you try

BrowserChild("*|* Add Buttons".HtmlPopupList("$buttonTypeId|#2".Select("DIVERT"</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Have you tried to identify that object by silktest? I don't have any pbm with htmlPopuplist.
Then you can fine one HELP page in silk help.
Control is not responding
You run a script and get the following error:
Error: Control is not responding
This is a catch-all error message. It usually occurs in a Select( ) statement when SilkTest is trying to select an item from a ListBox, TreeView, ListView, etc.
The error can occur after the actual selection has occurred, or it can occur without the selection being completed. In general the error means that the object is not responding to the messages SilkTest is sending in the manner in which it expects.
Try these things to eliminate the error message:
∑ If the line of code is inside a Recording block, remove the Recording keyword.
∑ Set the following option just before the line causing the error: Agent.SetOption(OPT_VERIFY_RESPONDING, FALSE)
∑ If the selection is successful, but you still get the error, try using the Do . . . except feature.
