    WebPage decl WinNT vs Win98

    I am running into probelems with silktest generating diff. decls in winnt vs win98
    Site http://legion.stage.ibelong.org/
    There are some HtmlHeading on top of the page (e.g. Register) which come back as a table in Win98 and in WinNT as no table.
    Any way to make these decls consistent accross OS's.

    Re: WebPage decl WinNT vs Win98

    are you positive that only the OS is different? I've never seen that occur, but I do consistently see difs among browsers.

    One "solution" (a "hack" by most definitions) is to use a function call from within your tag that returns the parent table as part of the tag. Here's a sample tag and the code snippet of the function.

    Hope this helps. It's a hack, but works for me

    <code><pre>
    HtmlHeading Sample
    tag "Identifying Text|{TagOfObjectInUnknownTable("Identifying Text")}"

    STRING TagOfObjectInUnknownTable (STRING sSearch)
    STRING sRowText, sReturn = "#999" // dummy return
    INTEGER i, j, k
    LIST OF WINDOW lwPageElements, lwTableRowItems

    Browser.SetActive()
    lwPageElements = BrowserPage.GetChildren()
    for (i=1 ; i<=ListCount(lwPageElements); i++)
    if MatchStr ("*HtmlTable*", [STRING]lwPageElements[i])
    for (j=1; j<= lwPageElements[i].GetRowCount(); j++)
    lwTableRowItems = lwPageElements[i].GetRowChildren(j)
    for (k=1; k<=ListCount(lwTableRowItems); k++)
    sRowText = lwTableRowItems[k].GetTag()
    if MatchStr("*{sSearch}*", sRowText)
    sReturn = StrTran(sRowText, "{BrowserPage.GetTag()}/", "")
    Browser.SetActive()
    return sReturn
    </code>
