    Re: HTML Heading

We have a web application where on the top we have seperate tabs to select , these tabs are a link to there corresponding page. Now in the window decelarations, all the tabs show up as one Html Heading. My question is if I have to click on anyone tab how do I do it as they show up as one HTml Heading.

I hope my question is clear.....

    Thanks !!

We have a web site on which at the top we have 4 tabs which are actually links to other pages.. but since they are not underlined all the 4 tabs show up as ONE Html Heading in the window decelaration... my question is How do i go and click on any one tab since they all show up as one heading..
I hope my question is clear...

I don't know why you posted this question in the automated testing forum, since it is a SilkTest question... And you did not explain what tool you were using when you posted it there....

Here's your answer... Silk probably finds the text which is on top of the graphic in your page... Actually I'm willing to bet it's dynamically generated text, but nevertheless... You can still perform a Click on an HtmlHeading, can't you??
What is it that you need to do with that Tab? Click? you can... GetText? you can... etc... Read about inherited methods.

    Re: HTML Heading

If I recall correctly, in one of the Silk training manuals ("Testing Custom Objects", maybe?), they had a method to click on sub objects that Silk saw as one single object. The method consisted of placing an imaginary grid over top the object and then assigning coordinates to each block of the grid. You would then write a custom click method that could click on a specified block within the grid.

Sorry I don't have my manuals with me, but this may be a possible solution.
