The @ Reference Operator please, in simple terms...

Okay, I know this is a pretty basic question, but could someone please explain to me exactly how the @ reference operator is suppose to work in 4Test? I can't figure it out. My girlfiend Big Matilda can't explain it to me. Strangers I stop on the street can't explain it. And as for that fragment of text supplied by Segue! Well, the Dead Sea Scrolls give you more info.

Maybe I'm dense, or missing something, but doesn't seem to work like a reference operator in C++ (ie: &). So, on behalf of Big Matilda and myself, when do you use it, what exactly does it accomplish, and how is it implemented.
    Thanks.

You and Big Matilda can read up on
this operator from Mr. Cluey's web page: http://www.ultranet.com/~danil/Cluey/function.html

I find this operator very helpfull. But it is not a referance operator in c. Mainly I use it when I want to xlate a string to a window especially in loop logic where I have windows that have sequential numbering.

The reference operator works as follows.

It translates a string to a window, function or method. For example.

    STRING sWindow = "Preferences"
    STRING sObject = "OK"
    STRING sMethod = "Click"

    @(sWindow).@(sObject).@(sMethod) ()

    will execute the method

    OR

    STRING sTestcase = "VerifySomeProcess"

    @(VerifySomeProcess) ()

    will execute the testcase

    Hope this helps
