Graphs in a Webpage
We are in the process of testing a web based appilication. We found that the web page contains graphs (like bar charts, pie charts etc) based on JSP and PowerBuilder. SilkTest is recognizing these graphs as CustomWins. Is it possible to verify the data represented by these graphs with SilkTest?

Re: Graphs in a Webpage
In a word, no. Silk, like all test tools deals with quantative information, not qualitative. A collection of colored pixels, while immediately useful to us, is meaningless to it.
It is possible to collect graph bit-maps which can be automatically compared against a predefined collection. This approach is limited to a small number of representative samples due to overhead and resource requirements.
Comparing a large number of graphics is best done manually. One way to assist the effort is to collect the bitmaps during a test run, then provide them to a human user for review after the run.
