    Re: Removing HTML formatting from JTextPane.GetText ()

    Any chance you're doing a VerifyProperties or VerifyEverything on the HTMLText? If so, you may try just doing a simple Verify against Object.HTMLText.GetText() (which returns only the text content).

    For example:
    [ ] Verify (Browser.Foo.Foo.HtmlText.GetText(), "Expected Text")

    Just an idea...

    Re: Removing HTML formatting from JTextPane.GetText ()

    Thanks for your reply.

    Unfortunately this is a stand alone java application. I'm not viewing the
    text through a browser.

    The object is a JavaJFCTextField, and the HtmlText is not defined for this object.

    I'll bet I'm missing a big picture here.

    Thanks

    Removing HTML formatting from JTextPane.GetText ()

    Hi,
    I am testing a Java Application which displays HTML formatted text in JTextPanes.

    For reasons unknown to me, the order of the HTML formatting changes between sessions of Java. Sometimes bold will be before font, and othertimes font will be before bold. This makes verification difficult.

    I would like to be able to verify the content of the text, without having the
    html formatting get in the way. At this time
    I do not really care about the html formatting and would like to just strip away all of it, allowing me to verify just the text.

    Any suggestions?
