    Calling Control Panel | Services

I need to be able to call the Control Panel | Services from my test case to start and stop a service (JavaWebServer, to be specific). I am trying to call Services (shortcut on my desktop) via the SYS_EXECUTE() command but keep getting errors.

    agent.exe
    Exception: access violation(0xc0000005), Address 0x200838e0)

Any ideas on how to avoid this error and/or how to call Services using SilkTest?

Re: Calling Control Panel | Services

    Additional (helpful?) information contained below:

Q: What am I declaring for Program Manager? If I was using Win 3.1 I would know, but I am using Windows NT, are you referring to Explorer?

A: Close all applications except SilkTest, then start a new Frame File and choose Program Manager.
However, if you don't want to make the Program Manager your MainWin, I believe you can use the Start command with your current MainWin.

Q: I am testing a web application and therefore do not have a MainWin, but instead a BrowserChild that does NOT support the START method. What to do?

A: Try a Browser.Start(). Browser declarations are in either your explorer.inc
    or netscape.inc file.

Re: Calling Control Panel | Services

You can call "net start " or "net stop " to start and stop services. These can be done from a DOS prompt or from SYS_Execute...
