Silk has various file functions, eg SYS_GetDirContents etc.
I need to be able to get a version number for a file. Does anyone know how to do this?
Unfortunately, I think the only way would be to navigate to the file location using Explorer, right click the file and select Properties, then get the info from the Version tab. Ugly.
If the application stores the version number in the registry, you could use SYS_GetRegistryValue().
Just some ideas...
I had to do what Damian suggested. To verify the product EXE file, I browse in Explorer and find the EXE, right click, and check the Version number there.

YOu can do it through explorer all right, problem is that explorer is not always correct for version numbers.
Here is an external dll with sample which I found on the net... It will return the version number of a specific file... GetFileVersion.zip
