I am facing problem while invoking non-web application. Actually i have used start method to invoke the application. I have given the path of an exe file as an argument to the start method. It's invoking the application but the screens are different from the original ones. The path specifed is "C:\jdewv\AW9RT/eTelnet/ipaddress".
If anybody knows how to resolve this please do reply ASAP.
I have declared LoginWindow of type Mainwin containing a tag of index "1"..
[+] window MainWin LoginWindow
[ ] tag "#1"
This is the declaration..
[ ] LoginWindow.Start("C:\jdewv\Aw9rt.exe /eTelnet /ipaddress")
Using this code i am running the testcase.
It's invoking the application... but the screens expected are different...
I don't know wt is wrong in this... actually we have used the same logic in differnt application it worked fine... the difference from that application is here we r using 'eTelnet' in the path, may be b'cse of that it's functioning different i think... without using that "eTelnet" the application doesn't work...
From the description it appears that you may be running two variants of the same application. I'd suggest temporarily capruting two Test Frames - one for each execution method, then comparing their Start and Tag lines to see how they differ.
Also using #1 as a tag in this instance is a very error-prone practice. Silk will accept the first MainWin it sees, no matter what it is.
