I am using SilkTest 5.5
If I try to run testscript from SilkTest without opening the script first by using file/run option I am not able to abort the script by clicking on run/abort. I can't even close SilkTest.
If I open the script and then run it by using run/run then I can abort it.
Has anybody seen something like this?
Yes I have seen that on an all too frequent basis. I say that only to confirum that you are not insane or seeing things!
I don't see it nearly as much (Hmmm if at all) in 6.0+ and in 5.x, as Tony has said, my usual abort sequence was Shift/Shift. However, there were times when even that did not work, and I needed to do Ctrl/Alt/Del to invoke the Task Manager.
If you choose Run/Abort from the menu, sometimes it just takes a minute for the application to catch up to you and it will eventually abort. Other times it seems to just ignore the command.
