Visual Basic .NET issue Buttons/checkboxes

Hi

I am testing a Visual Basic .NET application and have run into a button/checkbox issue. Apparently ST 6.02 sees the Visual Basic .NET buttons and checkboxes as the same type of control. ST see both controls as a customWIN with CLASS = WindowsForms10.BUTTON.app1.
If I use ClassMap and set it to BUTTON then ST will see all buttons and checkboxes as buttons.

Is there any way I can get ST to see the controls as two different types of controls even though they are of the same class(WindowsForms10.BUTTON.app1)?

Thanks in advance
Christian

I was under the impression that SilkTest did not support .Net applications yet?

Officially they donít support .Net applications. However it's my experience that ST often works fine with .NET applications. Especially if itís Visual Basic .NET applications.

Anyway is there any way I can get ST to see the controls as two different types of controls even though they are of the same class??

Officially, Silk doesn't support .NET, yet...but you can get it to recognize a lot through classmapping...unfortunately, it's not always easy..

I read somewhere that style bits are the way to get Silk to recognize the difference between these types of objects (since underneath checkboxes, buttons, radio buttons are basically the same). Unfortunately, I haven't had any time to investigate what style bits mean what OR how to set them through classmapping to get SIlk to see the difference...if you figure it out, would you let me know...THANKS!
