Has anyone seen/used a string encryption/decryptrion algorithim in Silk?
I wrote simple file scrambler in C a few months ago to beat the hackers out in cyber space .. should be preety simple to adapt to a dll,
(which hides the details of what you are doing)
My big problem with the whole concept is that anyone who can write a few lines of 4TL can easilly unscramble any "pass word token"
int seed1 = 12
string passwd = "my_secret_password"
string pass_token = encrypt(seed1,passwd)
// then you hard code that pass_token somewhere
// special ..
string pass = decrypt(pass_token) // seed is embedded in token
The pass can easilly be printed out .. and there goes your security .. or am I missing something here?
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!

I'm playing around with the "Solitare" encryption routine featured in the novel "Cryptonomicon." I think it will work. I should know something in a couple of days.
we are using jave program for encryption mechanism. can we use the same in silk?
