Can\'t declare windows in web app, tags, class, identifiers all the same

    Greetings,

Here is my problem: Testing a web app which has 4 frames in each window (top, left, left2 and main). The top, left and left2 frames have same info on every page but the main frame has mostly different info in it.

    example of first page declaration:
When I use the recorder to declare a window I will have the same class, identifier and tag name/number as listed above. The only info that changes is in the main frame.

    ex. win declaration first pg
    ex. win declaration second pg
Notice that the class and tag are the same in ex.1(main) and ex.2(main).

Can't seem to find a way to declare objects that are in the main frame once a new window is loaded. I have tried renaming identifiers (ex.2)but that won't help because the class and identifiers are the same throughout all pages.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Knowledge

You need to declare each of the BrowserChild (frames) as separate windows. You'll need to add the parent statement to each one.

    For example,
    window BrowserChild BuyProduct
    tag "#1"
    parent Browser

    window BrowserChild Left
    tag "#1"
    parent BuyProduct

    Objects common to Left...

    window BrowserChild Top
    tag "#2"
    parent BuyProduct

    Objects common to top...

and a whole series of specific unique "pages"

    window BrowserChild Main1
    tag "#3"
    parent BuyProduct

    Objects common to Main1

    window BrowserChild Main2
    tag "#3"
    parent BuyProduct

    Objects common to Main2

    Hope this gets you started.

I have the same problem on a client server app, but the solution of adding a parent in the declaration won't work in my case as the parent is the same. Any other suggestions?
