Testing a VB6 MDI Application......
If there any else who is using silktest to test against a VB6 MDI application?? I ask this becuase i have ran into many issues in which the Silk test recovery system does not bring the application back the original state. I have had to create my own recovery system with in the 4test model, and i seem to be finding many road-blocks, or limitations of what silk can do with an VB application. I get the feeling that Silk was not intended for heavy testing against a complex VB application. Am i right about this??
Re: Testing a VB6 MDI Application......
Not currently, but I have used SilkTest quite a bit to test VB applications. Always worked like a charm for me. In fact, using the WindowID as a tag is great because it's the same as the name the developer gave the object...and if you've done any VB programming, you know it's a pain to change the name of that object after you've written any code around it.
What, in short, does your base state need to accomplish? Have you written a BaseState method for your wMainWin?
