getting one log per testcase
After reading and searching for the past hour or so, I'm still stuck. The primary test harness around here (not for GUI testing, but the back end) uses a 'one testcase produces one logfile' methodology; it then does a diff against a known golden and reports. I would like to be able to use the same method for the GUI tests I'm writing in Silk. I have a series of .t files that have bunches of testcase's in them, and the .t's are run via a command line exec of a .pln file (along with a .opt). Is there something I can do, perhaps with TestcaseExit and/or TestPlanExit that would allow one logfile to be created per testcase?
Re: getting one log per testcase
Sure....modify TestcaseExit to create a new file for the testcase that just ran. You can help make the filenames unique by using the GetTestCaseName function.
