    PowerBuilder 6.0 extension memory leak

We have a very long Silk testplan and it seems to be that Silk is leaking some memory as it goes on...
As the test plan proceed, Silk runs slower and slower and take a more than a day to finish...

Have anybody seen this??? And know what the workaround is?!

    Thanks for your help...

Re: PowerBuilder 6.0 extension memory leak

    Sean,

What do you consider long? How many testcases? How many lines of code? How big are the include files?

With that aside, what OS are you testing under? Have you eliminated the code you're testing as a possible source of the leak? The slow down may even be as a result of the size of the results file, especially if you are writting all agent calls to the results file. Are you using QA Planner/Organizer?

If you give me some specifics I might be able to help. I have some 4test functions that I have written to find memory leaks in applications that may be useful, but they are used differently depending on OS.

    Regards,
    Tom

Re: PowerBuilder 6.0 extension memory leak

When we found about this problem, we had a master.plan which includes other include files for sub-apllications. So, we decided to create a small test plan and inc files and so on and ran it for several time repetedly... and still the problem showed up (not a problem with the size of the files). But, if we killed the agent before switching to the next run of test suite, it seemed to be working fine without slowing the process down. This happens both on 95 and NT. We have requested formal bug fix from Segue and the defect has been open more than 75 days and they got no clue.

ps. By the way, if you can give me the source code you wrote for the memory leak problem, I will be very appreciated...

    Thanks...
