    Use of silk for mainframe applications

    Is it possible to capture the message boxes displayed in mainframe screens using silk? i tried capturing static text with no success, how is it possible ?

    Silktest has a "BluExpress" extension for the same...Check up Segues site for it and u might land up with some information...havent seen any posts on qaforums in the recent past related to it though. [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]

    We use Blue Express to test the Mainframe (M) part of our Web (W) application. We will navigate to a piece of data on the W side and then on the M side and do a simple comparison on the string variables. Often we will read in a full list and compare that way. To use Blue Express you must also have Rumba installed. It works quite well.

    Hmmmmm, Bruce, what do you mean by that? Blue Express IS Rumba. Segue got that from Wall Data back in the days when there was a Wall Data.
