    Silktest and Stingray

The product uses Stingray Toolkit 6.0 and Grid 7.0 with MFC.

My problem is that Stingray doesn't return any widgets and Silktest doesn't recognize the objects without the widgets.

For example I can't see the menu. The menu is one item: File, Edit, View, Tools etc is declared as MenuBar. The system can not see each item. When I use the Record/Declarations, it returns MenuBar for the entire menu. If I use Record/Window Identifiers, it returns PopupStart("").Menu("#1") when I select the first item (i.e. File-New). If I select only File, it returns Primtives.MenuBar. That's the same as if I selected Edit, View, Window etc.

There are some other problems that are unresolved.

    Yes,

you need the EK with Silk to make it work (EK: Extension Kit)

There's a readme called StingRay in the downloads section. Try it!

You also need dev's help to add methods to the product to enable EK

The problem is not only with GRID, it's with everything.

In the attach file, there's a line to add in the code of the product. Am I right ?

That is right you need dev's support to add lines in the product. But make sure you tell them it's for QA Support and that if the Silk Agent is not running, the code (1/2 a page or so is %100 dead code) so for those that keep telling you... It'll break the product, blah blah blah... They don't know what they're talking about and only are lazy!

I've implemented the EK in at least 4 companies and none had problems, so if they (dev) have any... It's from their own

What the EK does, is checks if SilkAgent is running, if so then enables the library and any methods they implement (interface to the product), if not then nothing has happened!

No, the Extension Kit (EK) is provided by Segue to allow customers to make their own extensions if they see fit. You can make your own Lotus Notes Domino extension if you want for example. Anything will be available for making an extension but you'll probably need some consulting to figure out how to implement it.

If all the classmapping and customized object options don't work, then the EK is what you need. You can use it on anything from WumpusWare 2.x to the Opera browser. Consult your sales rep.

    Cheers,
