    I\'ve had it @#$%^&^*

    I can't get it under control, having to use code like the following to reference an object is absurd

    [-] if AccountSetupFullNew1.RESTRICTEDText.PbxAccount.Reg istration.PbxTab8.New.Exists()
    [ ] AccountSetupFullNew1.RESTRICTEDText.PbxAccount.Reg istration.PbxTab8.New.Click ()
    [-] else
    [-] if AccountSetupFullNew1.Registration.PbxTab8.New.Exis ts()
    [ ] AccountSetupFullNew1.Registration.PbxTab8.New.Clic k ()
    [-] else
    [ ] AccountSetupFullNew1.ClientsOwners1.Registration.P bxTab8.New.Click ()

    I am aware of the state of the object issues when you reference it, but it really doesn't want to reference it twice the same way.

    Is it me? There must be some simple solution to this.

    I tried the following type code, but it is not reliable.

    [-] Getwinname()
    [-] select
    [-] case Accounts.Registration.PbxTab1.City.City.Exists()
    [ ] AccountWin = Accounts.Registration.PbxTab1
    [-] case Accounts.Registration.PbxAccount.Registration.PbxT ab1.City.City.Exists()
    [ ] AccountWin = Accounts.Registration.PbxAccount.Registration.PbxT ab1
    [-] case Accounts.PbxAccount.Registration.PbxTab1.City.City .Exists()
    [ ] AccountWin = Accounts.PbxAccount.Registration.PbxTab1

    Any solutions to this would be a mind saver

    Thanks

    Russ

    Re: I\'ve had it @#$%^&^*

    I have similar issues with applets that are dynamicLY based on the current user and his/her activities. I know that there are certain end controls that are common/required for the users.

    What I do is create a record of window with each control that I want to interact with as a field in the record. I then move throught the application getting all the objects that I need and placing their handles in the approprate fields of the record.

    After that I only have to reference the record and field to work with any object I need on the window.

    Here is an example piece of code that I used to return one object's handle. I also have one that works for all the objects that I am interested in. The only difference is that instead of sending in what I am looking for they are already in the function. I continue looping until I have worked through all the objects and I return a Record instead of a Window
